Vehicle Powertrain Simulation with Simscape Driveline
Use Simscape Driveline™ to model, simulate, and deploy vehicle powertrain systems. Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems are tested together to detect integration issues and optimize system level performance.
With Simscape Driveline you can:
- Assemble powertrain systems
- Test powertrain efficiency by adding losses to the system
- Model powertrains with limited-slip differentials on varying road surfaces
- Run in real-time on HIL systems using Simscape™ local solvers
To develop complex powertrain systems efficiently, the ability to balance the trade-off of model fidelity and simulation speed is necessary. System-level variants of the powertrain are used to iterate quickly and make high-level design decisions such as determining architecture, while detailed variants are used to perform more in-depth analyses. The ability to generate C code from the model enables engineers to use Model-Based Design for the entire system (plant and controller).
