I obtained the B.Sc., Teaching Licensure, and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering at the Engineering Institute of Coimbra, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Coimbra. Over the past 10 years, I have been conducting scientific research on several areas, including robotics, computer vision, sports engineering, and others. This resulted on more than 50 articles in international impact factor journals, more than 60 articles at international conferences, 3 books, 14 M.Sc. students' supervision, one ongoing Ph.D. student supervision, and the coordination of several projects. I am currently an Associate Researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics, a Postdoc Researcher at the Faculty of Human Kinetics, and an Invited Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. I am also co-founder and CEO of Ingeniarius; a company devoted to the development of robotic solutions and wearable technologies. |

Dohyun Kim is a 5th year Ph.D. student at Dept. Computational Science and Engineering (CSE), Yonsei University. His main research area is high-order non-standard finite element methods (FEM) including but not limited to staggered discontinuous Galerkin (SDG) methods and discontinuous Galerkin (DG) methods. He is interested in both theoretical analysis and efficient computation of FEM. Currently, he is working on SDG methods on general polygonal meshes. |

Hi, I'm nobody. I don't belong here, but I have nothing better to do. Matlab used to be part of my work. Now it's part of my hobbies. That's pretty sad, really. |

My research focuses on adapting state of the art advances in MR imaging methodology in the context of neuroscientific and translational fMRI applications. My core theme therein is increasing sensitivity by optimal sampling on the one hand, and noise reduction (field and physiological) on the other. The key technology I employ for that purpose is magnetic field monitoring using NMR probes. I truly believe in open science and contribute through clean code available in accessible toolboxes. |
