How can I access MATLAB 8.0(R2012b) from WebObjects?

WebObjects is an open source JAVA based web application server from Apple Inc., I would like to know if there are any libraries or APIs that would allow me to connect to MATLAB from here. What I would like to do is to open MATLAB, instruct it to run a MATLAB file which does some calculations and writes the result to a file, and then exit MATLAB.

The ability to interface MATLAB with WebObjects is not available in MATLAB 8.0 (R2012b). There are no workarounds.
