Generic engine oscillating output

I am using the generic engine block in Simscape driveline, trying to simulate a test rig I am building with a small petrol engine and an electric motor in parallel. It has a tendency to go unstable and oscillate when I change the settings. This can be the settings in the engine block, the attached inertia blocks etc. I have attached the model. Below are two plots, the difference between them is simply the simulation time was changed from 6 to 7 seconds.![](https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/uploaded_files/294634/image.png)

Hi Stephen,
This looks like the oscillation is due to the interactions between the slipping pullies in the two belt drives. If you are using R2019b or later, consider if the slip needs to be modelled. If not, set the top Belt Drive belt type to Ideal.
