Red Dotted Wire Problem

I'm using Matlab student version R2018b. I wanted to make a connection across a resistor with a voltmeter. But, I'm unable to connect the voltmeter across the resistor and I'm getting a red dotted line

coupling physical signals to usual Simulink signals or other physical domains is a bit tricky sometimes.
