I am unable to save them from workspace
How are you trying to save them? Using the save function, using the Save Workspace button on the Home tab of the Toolstrip, right-clicking on the variable in the Workspace desktop component, or some other way?
What exactly does "unable to save them" mean? Does trying to save the variable throw an error (and if so what is the full text of the error message, everything displayed in red text, that you receive when you try?) Does it issue a warning (and if so, what is the full text or the warning message, everything in orange?) Does it do something else (and if so, can you describe in detail what happens?)
