Why do I recieve an "Authentication Error (Error: AUTH_0701)" when using Simulink Copilot?

I am able to use MATLAB Copilot successfully, but when using Simulink Copilot, I encounter an authentication error such as:

Your session has expired or authentication has failed. Please sign in again and restart Simulink Copilot. If the issue persists, please check your MathWorks account credentials. (Error: AUTH_0701)

The following errors may be observed within my log file:

• "The connection to login.mathworks.com was interrupted during communication"
• "The connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"

This issue is most commonly caused by missing or incorrect proxy configuration. If the required proxy environment variables are not set at the system level, Simulink Copilot cannot communicate with MathWorks authentication services, which can result in connection interruptions or forced connection closures.

Steps to Resolve:

1. Ensure that the HTTP_PROXY and HTTPS_PROXY environment variables are configured correctly at the system level.
2. Use the correct proxy values that are specific to your organization's network that must be provided and configured by your IT department or network administrator.
3. After the proxy environment variables are properly set, restart MATLAB and retry signing into Simulink Copilot.
