when I execute the code, the window shuts . there is killed message appears on the terminal.
the linux is ubuntu 22.04 LTS
here is the code
% Optimize the model
[x_sol,resnorm,residual,exitflag,output] = lsqnonlin(fun_, x0, [], [], ...
optimset('display','on'));
psrticularly when this line is executed, the ram executes at full memory and goes out of memory. and everything is crashed.

Can you share the entire script with "fun_" , "x0" and other variables.

Hi Arvind! I think it might be better to make a proper Technical Support Case for this, these MATLAB Answers sometimes fly under the radar, while tech support cases are properly assigned and worked until solved. Especially when some debugging of crashes is involved. You can do this on the website (https://www.mathworks.com/support/contact_us.html) or directly from a MATLAB session (HOME >> Resources >> Feedback)

That sounds like MATLAB got killed by the Out-of-Memory Killer. This page on IBM's website has a general description of the OOM Killer.
How large a problem are you trying to solve and how much memory does your system have?
