Why do I get a "Technical Issue" error when trying to verify a school license to use MATLAB Online?

2 views (last 30 days)
When I try to use MATLAB Online with my school license, I am told "Verification Required".
However, after I try to verify my account, I receive an error reading "MathWorks Account Unavailable - Technical Issue".
How can I resolve this?

This is a result of the university's Shibboleth being inaccessible from this page. Note that if you see errors that are significantly different than what is above, this page's solution may not fix your issue.
You can resolve this error by logging into MathWorks account from your university's MathWorks portal page. If you don't know how to do this, follow the steps below:
  1. On a search engine such as Google, search for the name of your university followed by "MATLAB Access for Everyone".
  2. Select the first result that goes to our website. The page you are at should look like the image below. If you are unable to find this page, contact your university for the link. Do not click on links that do not go to mathworks.com.
  3. Select "Sign in to get started".
  4. Input your school's login information. This is not MathWorks account information.
  5. After inputting your school's information, you'll be brought back to mathworks.com. If you are asked to log back into your MathWorks account, do so.
  6. You should now be able to access MATLAB Online from matlab.mathworks.com.
