SimScape MultiBody from Solid Edge

Hi, I wanted to load my .f_t file into SimScape MultiBody and use it. Unfortunately, this does not work directly. Even if the construction is inserted as an .stp file, it cannot be loaded. I use the block: solid file. Unfortunately, I cannot save the construction as an XML file. What works is that I create a so-called PLMXML file via SolidEdge. This in turn generates a PLMXML for each component. Is there an add-on for saving or converting .f_t files to an XML?

Hi there - this page tells you the formats that are supported by the File Solid block:
You can see that Solid Edge is listed there. This means if you open the File Solid block and reference your Solid Edge CAD geometry directly, you should be able to use it in Simscape Multibody.
The path via XML only works if you are using Simscape Multibody Link with CAD software that supports our plugin. That software is listed here:
