LTE Tutorial: Understanding the LTE Resource Grid
Familiarize yourself with the LTE physical channels and signals: PSS, SSS, BCH, PDSCH, PDCCH, PHICH, and PCFICH. Understand the role of each channel and learn the reason behind all of their locations in the LTE OFDM grid. Discover the steps required for user equipment (UE) to connect to the LTE network and start receiving data. These steps include cell search, acquisition of system information, detection of frame and subframe structure, acquisition of control information, and the demodulation of actual data. Generate a standard-compliant LTE signal for all physical channels using LTE Toolbox™, and visualize the OFDM grid with MATLAB®.
