Acquiring Data from Sensors and Instruments in MATLAB
Connecting to sensors and instruments is an increasingly important task in today’s world as more and more devices can generate data for us to interpret. In this webinar, we will discuss the latest hardware connectivity capabilities available in MATLAB and related toolboxes. With these tools, you can collect and analyze data from a range of hardware platforms including low-cost devices like Arduino boards and commercial hardware such as DAQ devices and test instruments.
Through discussion and product demonstrations, you will see how you can use the data acquisition products to:
- Stream sensor data from Arduino and other low-cost hardware into MATLAB
- Acquire data from IEPE sensors on NI DAQ hardware
- Acquire data from a rotary encoder to calculate angular position
- Characterize a test device with a function generator and an oscilloscope
