combined Filled area and contour plotting

I wanted to plot the below type of figure for my X Y Z variable: is it possible to plot them with matlab?

No I dont have code for fig, this is from one reaserch article.
But uhave data of my variables which can certainly help you to suggest further:
X = [1e6 2e6 3e6 4e6 5e6 6e6 7e6 8e6]
Y = [74 71 68 66 64 63 62 61]
Z = [45 47 49 50 51 53 56 59]

It's just a line
X = [1e6 2e6 3e6 4e6 5e6 6e6 7e6 8e6];
Y = [74 71 68 66 64 63 62 61];
Z = [45 47 49 50 51 53 56 59];
plot3(X,Y,Z)

I tried your suggestion apperantly it didnt work. I want 2d plot of 3 varianbles exactly as shown in figure in question.
