construct a complex number using real part and abs data
Show older comments
i have real part and absolute values of a complex number.
is their any built in function to generate back the complex number using real part and absolute value of the complex number ?
or if built in function is not vailable can i use below code
imag_part = sqrt((abs_value)^2 - (real part)^2)
complex_numer = real part + i(imag_part)

This is really a math question. When you have the real part and the absolute value, the imaginary part is not determined in general. There are two possible solutions. Basically +/- sqrt((abs_value)^2-(real_part)^2), right?
