I have a question concerning a map matching algorithm to plot gps data. At the moment I have two vector (gps_long, gps_lat) and plot the gps data with the plotgooglemaps-function to see a map in the background of the plot.
What I want to do is to create a kind of map matching between the measured gps points and real streets/tracks of google maps. Is there any solution or function already existing for this problem?

do you use geoscatter and/or geoplot! Mostly you dont need to apply transoformation because lon and lat can be plotted exactly on the map.
Could you explain more or give a example.

Use open street map instead of google map.
GPS information is inaccurate near tall buildings.
