Hot spot monitoring in infrared camera videos

1 view (last 30 days)
Hello!
I'm just tryng to find and monitor during a test the hotspot point or points from a video taken with infrared camera.
I'm imagining to:
  • track a certain area during the video,
  • extract each few seconds the rgb colors,
  • find the hotspot as the point or group of points with the highest temperature
@Image Analyst could you help me?

Well, I'm not Rik, but hopefully this will help. I'm sure you'll be able to adapt this attached demo to your image. If you really can't figure it out, attach your original image with embedded colorbar, like the one in the upper left of my demo below.

Thank you great!
Just another thing: processing the images I've find out that some pixels are white = at max temperature. They seem to be outliers from the image. On the IR software they are not present. Do you know why?
The temperature identification is quite well but wih this problem, the analisys becames very noisy.

I don't know why the image exported with salt and pepper noise to it. You can apply my salt and pepper noise elimination routine, attached.
