Matlab does not show the curve equation in basic fitting

1 view (last 30 days)
Hi
I have a code which I plot some datas then I want to get the equation of the plotted curve so I used basic fitting , spline interpolant is fit with plotted curve but when I check the ((show equations)) it just write the ((cubic spline interpolant)) in the figure window and didn't show the equation of the fitting curve

Because there is no simple expression like a quadratic for the spline interpolant; it's a series of cubics between each breakpoint.

You misunderstand splines. A spline does not have a simple equation you can write down. And while in theory, you could write down SOMETHING, it would be a terribly dense, lengthy thing. And unless you understand splines sufficiently well, it might not make a lot of sense to you anyway.
You can use a spline to interpolate, approximate, and predict values. However, there is no simple equation.
