how to apply db6 wavelet to the decomposed signal??

I'm not sure what you mean by apply the db6 wavelet to the "decomposed" signal.
Usually, you mean to use the db6 wavelet in the decomposition of the signal, like
load noisdopp;
% choose the level
level = 5;
[C,L] = wavedec(noisdopp,level,'db6');

So then could you apply a db6 and make it in only 5 levels? I thought you must have the same number in the decomposed function as the levels D: is not like that?

In case you are unaware, db6 is the 6th member of a family of wavelets known as 'Daubechies' (they have 20 members). More on this here.
