Matlab 2020b slow drawing

Hello everyone,
I just installed MatLab 2020b and I noticed a strange behaviour. If I start the program and make a plot, Matlab makes the figure in a reasonable time (comparable to what I was used to with Matlab 2018b). The more I make computations, the more figure I create (and close), the slower Matlab becomes in making computations and figures. To the point that it takes seconds to make a new plot. The command ginput has serious problems to work because sometimes there is a big lag between when I clicked and when Matlab sees the click.
I am working with Windows 10 and I am not making heavy computing or 3D plotting. Matlab 2018 has always been working fine. My guess is that the problem is related to the new "interactive" features of the figures.
Do you have suggestions?
If it cannot be fixed I think I will move back to MatLab 2018.
Tanks in advance

I have noticed the same thing. I use the app desiger to stream images from the camera and the image rate is noticble slower in R2020b compare to 2020a. Idk what it is but its not great.

Update,
it takes ages also to select any active curve in the plot as it takes minutes for Matlab to shut down.
If I select the zoom action, after zooming the tool does not automatically deactivate, therefore often the final zoom is not the wanted one. Same with other graphig tools (pan...)
