I am trying to import an excel but the blank cells are coming through as NaN if I class them as a number which I need to do. I have attached a photo. I need the empty cells to be recognised as nothing, not 0 or NaN.

Use isnan() and assign the value you want or remove the points containing NaNs. See help how to employ it: mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/isnan.html?searchHighlight=isnan&s_tid=srchtitle
