I am trying to make a model of a CI engine using the Torque Structure configuration. When I set engine RPM as a constant, say, 1000 RPM, the torque output of the engine comes out to be a negative value(-21 kNm), any idea where I might be going wrong?

I think you need to have a load or command torque as second input to get the torque you want. if only 1000 rpm, no load or command torque, it may be no load, which will be under motoring model, so the -21kNm maybe your friction torque. but it seems it's a very big engine? I think -21Nm should be reasonable, you need to double check the friction torque table as well.

Hello, Thanks for your reply. Actually I have specified a load value (50 Nm), and the block has the default configuration loaded. I have specified a constant engine coolant temperature. The same parameters are working perfectly with the simple engine lookup model, but it is not working with the torque structure model.
