How to get Simulation Status correctly?

Hello,

I was trying to get Simulation Status after i compile the model using ; get_param('myModel', 'SimulationStatus') yet even though my model is compiled(see that on the left bottom of the simulink), get_param('myModel', 'SimulationStatus') is return as 'paused'.

Is there any suggestions that you can give me?

Use set_param('vdp','SimulationCommand','continue') to change the simulation status, other options are 'start', 'pause','stop'.
