Rendering EPS figures in MATLAB 2020 different than older versions?

1 view (last 30 days)
I recently updated from MATLAB 2016 to MATLAB 2020a.
I am trying to recreate certain EPS figures exactly and then import those figures into Adobe Illustrator.
In the old version of MATLAB it would render each element of the figure as a separate vector graphic. However, now I am noticing that some elements of the figure are being combined into a single vector graphic. As far as I can tell, the export setup settings are the same (e.g. painters rendering, RGB, auto resolution dpi).
Any solutions?
I really don't want to have to go backwards and re-download 2016 just to recreate these figures.
