Developing Membership Functions for Categorical data-

Hello,

I am trying to develop an FIS where Input Variables are Categorical Variables

e.g. Gender Male, Female

Education- 1. Graduate, 2. Post Graduate and 3. High School

Occupation- 1. Business 2. Teacher etc. (total 7-8 Categories).

How to develop the MF for these variables as Input Parameters.?

Kindly guide me on this issue as it is particularly important for my system.

No. Singleton Membership Functions are there. but I have got not idea how to use them for categorical variables.
