Creating new ppt from existings

I have one folder and it contains several ppt's and each ppt have several slides.

I want to take only first slide of each ppt and want to save it in new ppt..

So, how to do it..?

If you don't want to use Powerpoint to do it, then you can do it in MATLAB if you use ActiveX to control Powerpoint. There are several activex examples around, but it won't be trivial. Most of the examples are for MATLAB to control Excel, not Powerpoint.
