Hi,
is it better to set Solver to "discrete (no continuous states)" for digital systems?
Thanks Senmeis

When I work with digital system, I prefer set solver to discrete with fixed step. Now If you don't set a solver to discrete, and your system don't contain any continuous state, when you run your model, Matlab will set automatically the solver to variable discrete solver.

I have owen problems with fixed step. There is upsampling in my digital system so if fixed step is set I get more data than usual. Does this mean only variable step can be set for my case?

If your sample time is varying, then you can work with variable discrete step. In your blocks that requires sample time, set it to -1 (Inherited), usually, it's the default setting. If your model don't contain any continuous state, set your solver to discrete, to avoid error message, because Matlab, like I said, will set it automatically.
