How can i use 1d signals as input for classification?

Most of the classification algorithm in matlab using images as the input. How can i use 1D sequences or signals as the input?

If you refer to deep learning-based classification, MATLAB's deep learning toolbox supports the classification of time-series, for example, using LSTM: https://www.mathworks.com/help/deeplearning/ug/classify-sequence-data-using-lstm-networks.html
