When will support for Clang become available?

In recent years, Clang has grown to a production-quality compiler, with lots of attractive qualities, such as very good standards conformance for C++ (both C++03 and C++11) and very good error diagnostics. When will support for Clang become available in Matlab?:)

I am closing this since only TMW can tell you when support will be added. We can only guess. Please ask TMW directly.

It might be another version or two before it's supported for building mex files, but at least for R2012b on Win64, clang is actually already in the RTW distribution! Check matlabroot/toolbox/rtw/targets/rtwin/llvm/bin. No idea how this is being used within RTW right now, and it's most likely subject to change.
