Hello,
I would like to view and commit changes to github via Matlab source control. However, if I right-click on the changed m.file which is indicated with a blue square / modified and then choose "View and Commit Changes..." there is no dialog window appearing. The only thing that changed is that a blank window appears in the taskbar (see screenshot). However ,it does not appear on the desktop. Can someone help me to debug this?
edit: I also realized that "fetch" does nothing if I click on it... there is no dialog window appearing anywhere.
I have already reinstalled MATLAB 2020a and also the gitforwindows program according to this instruction: https://de.mathworks.com/help/matlab/matlab_prog/set-up-git-source-control.html#use_ssh_authentication

It's pretty crazy that this still happens four years after the original post, but this workaround worked, thanks! I have two displays so that might be why this happens

Hi Yangfan,
Looks like an installation problem to me. For any problems related to installation, Contact Support !
They help with installation and setup problems for all MATLAB licenses. More information on Service Requests in this FAQ.
Hope this helps.

Hi
I had the same problem with 2020b (win10) when using 2 displays with the main matlab windows moved to the secondary display (I can't maximize the commit window in 2020b). After moving matlab to the primary display the commit window showed up again.
Best, Konrad

I have the same problem. My solution was to right-click on the "View and Commit" window the way the original poster got MATLAB to display all windows by hovering over the icon, and the selecting "Maximize" from the pop-up. This caused the window to render. If I need access to the other windows behind the newly maximized "View and Commit" window, do not click on the "Restore Down" option on the window because it will restore the window back into whatever hidden state it was in before. Instead drag the window's title bar down from the top of the screen.
