I can't open simulink . I get the spinning wheel at my window but nothing happends (I have waited 30+min multiple times). Just 2 days ago everything worked perfect. I installed latest windows updates (R2020a) again but still it didn't work simulink.

I have the same problem with R2021b. It happens when I install the R2021b and R2021a in two folders..
Now I have removed R2021a and used R2021b only. I have tried following:
  1. Unistall (also including the appdata) and reinstall
  2. reboot laptop
  3. start via command: simulink
  4. change default printer

It sounds like Simulink is getting stuck while launching. Here are a few things you can try to fix the issue:
  1. Restart MATLAB – Close MATLAB completely and restart it to see if Simulink opens.
  2. Run MATLAB as Administrator – Right-click the MATLAB shortcut and select Run as administrator.
  3. Check for Conflicting Add-ons – Disable any recently installed toolboxes or add-ons that might be interfering.
  4. Reset MATLAB Preferences – Try renaming the MATLAB preferences folder:
  • Close MATLAB.
  • Navigate to: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\MathWorks\MATLAB\R2020a
  • Rename the folder to something like R2020a_old and restart MATLAB.
  1. Check Java Version – Open MATLAB and run:matlabCopyEditversion -java
If Java is outdated, update or reinstall Java.
  1. Reinstall MATLAB – If nothing works, uninstall MATLAB completely and reinstall it.

I had the similar issue with r2021b. The following steps I did to resolve the issue
  1. Uninstalled r2021b
  2. Re-installed the latest version of r2021b
  3. Deleted C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\MathWorks\MATLAB\R2021b folder and created a new empty folder with the same name (R2021b) . If required, take the backup of existing R2021b folder as R2021b-backup
  4. Repeat the same steps for the following folder - C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\MathWorks\MATLAB\R2021b
  5. Start Matlab

I think this is what worked for me:
I had tried changing the default printer before (https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/385283-why-does-opening-simulink-for-the-first-time-in-a-matlab-session-take-a-long-time) but it did not help.
After implementing the steps above I was finally able to start simulink in Matlab 2021b [I had just reinstalled, I skipped steps 1. and 2.]

It doesn't work for me, even if I change the default printer..

My similar issue was resolved by turning off virus protection software (setting exception) inside the R2022a folder.
