MATLAB Biology Project Question

Hello everyone! I have to do a project in MATLAB for my honors course, and I had a question about it. I am in a first semester MATLAB class, and this is the first class I have had on it.

We have made a program that has a lot of options involving DNA transcription. You can transcribe DNA to RNA, DNA to the amino acids, etc.

What I was curious about is we wanted to add a bit to the project, and were thinking that we could possibly have a way of simulating the amino acids that their DNA sequence corresponded to being added on to the end of an amino acid chain, maybe through a GUI or something like that. I don't know if it can be done, but any advice/information would be super helpful!

Please provide us with more detail, what does your data look like? What do you expect as a result? Etc...

Well the program takes in a DNA sequence and converts it to RNA, then gets user input on whether or not they want the amino acids that correspond with the DNA sequence they put in. My question is if there is a way to make like a diagram in MATLAB that can show the amino acids connected in a chain or not.
