Problem opening Matlab editor in Linux.
Show older comments
My weird problem is about using Matlab editor. When using Matlab as a regular user I can create, delete, run, but never open the .m file on Matlab editor when double clicking on it. If I open matlab as superuser I can use Matlab editor perfectly opening files and stuff. I think it has nothing to do with the .m file permisions itself because I have changed them and still does not work. Thanks in advance.

I recently get the same problem. I have been using Matlab in Emacs for a while, and these day when I go back to the Matlab for some debugging. I can drag files to the editor area and the file opens, despite that there is no way to open the files in the Matlab editor. Neither can I do it in super user.

I just fixed my problem. It seems that when I was installing matlab for emacs plugins, it modified my default editor. I changed it back by modifying the Tex Editor back to default in the Preference settings.
