how to do microstepping using adafruit motor shield?

hello gow do i get to do microstepping in adafruit motor shield or move the motor halfstep or 1/16 of step?

how much ever i try it results in motor moving one step at maa time.

i changed the sprev and also the steptype to microstep,but no improvemnt.

hi walter,by making the steptype to microstep only makes the motor run smooth and slower.

but actual microstepping should reduce the step angle.

here it doesnt happen.even if we give microstep mode,the motor makes a turn of 1.8 degree or a single step.(comparable to fullstep mode in other shields)
