Hello,
Every time I have to use the 'power' symbol ^ it is written two times. For example, I want to type x^2, and in the Matlab editor I write x^ and when I push the '2' button, another ^ is written instead of the 2, x^^, so I have to delete this symbol and write the 2, which is very unconfortable when writting long equations. I am using Matlab R2019a on Mac.
Does anybody know how to fix this problem?
Thank you!

What is your system Language set to? What kind of keyboard are you using?

My system language is set to Spanish, and Matlab is set to English. The version of iOS is Mojave 10.14.5, and the keyboard is "butterfly", from a macbook pro bought last month. The problem only appears in Matlab, in any other program it works fine.
Thanks in advance

Hello,
I have the exact same problem and I am using Matlab R2020b on Mac. So apparently this problem has not been solved yet. Is there any way to solve it on my own or do I have to wait for an update? (I just checked updates and I have the newest version).
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
This is a known problem and has been resolved in the R2019b release.

Yet the problem still prevails.
Having the same problem although I've tried to resolve it in various ways without succes. This is still just one of the compability problems presented when using MATLAB on Mac sadly.
