AppDesigner open two Icons/processes per App?

Why MATLAB 2019a app designer standalone app opens two icons in Dock (macOS)? <app name w/ user icon> and <MATLABWindow w/ Standard Matlab icon>
With several applications it becomes quite imperceptible in the dock.
And why is the resolution of the icons so terribly blurred despite high resolution input?
