Hi, I´m having some problems with simulink.
I have to do a work for college and I have to open a file done with Simulink R2018a. I have a mathlab r2017 version and it wont let me open the file.
The error message says that I have to open the file in a simulink 2018 version and then export to a previous version.
Do I have to download a 2018a verion of Mathlab or is there an option only for downloading a 2018a simulink version?
Thanks

Unfortunately your options are limited here:
1) Open a blank Simulink project in your 2017 version. Navigate to File-Simulink Preferences. Here uncheck the option "Do not load models created with a newer version of Simulink". Then try opening the 2018 model. Check if the model loads properly. If the model uses only basic blocks then it might load properly, but it could also crash MATLAB.
2) Ask the person who gave you the 2018 model to use the "Export to Previous Version" feature to save the model in 2017 version and then give it to you.
3) Upgrade your 2017 license to 2018 version.
4) Download a trial version of 2018 and work on that.
