MATLAB shows wrong RSA fingerprint in source control

5 views (last 30 days)
I have been using source control within MATLAB to push my codes to GitLab for a long time. I recently changed my PC, and so, I generated a new SSH key following this link. The new key is now added to by GitLab account and I can fetch/pull/push easily using Git Bash. I am using Windows 10. However, it seems now I cannot push to git using source control in MATLAB. When I attemp to do so, I get the prompt:
"The authenticity of host scgit.domain.com can't be established. RSA key fingerprint is xx:xx:.... Are you sure you want to continue?"
I understand that getting the above prompt is nothing unusual when you are trying to connect to an unknown host for the first time. However, the problem is that the RSA fingerprint I am being shown does not match the fingerprint of the new SSH key I have added in my git account. Furthermore, clicking yes to the above prompt takes me to a password prompt which always fails, causing an error saying that software caused a connection abort. I have tried resetting MATLAB's preferences using this method. I have tried reinstalling MATLAB. I have tried redifining home enviornment in MATLAB using
setenv('HOME', address)
Nothing seems to work and MATLAB still picks up a key with unfamiliar RSA fingerprint. How can I reset my SSH key in MATLAB to match the one on my git account? I have tried everything out there that I could find on MATLAB Answers, StackOverflow, etc. Hope someone can help answer!

I get the same error, but if I tell it to go ahead, it does successfully push.

I have the same issue. Strangely on my PC with Win 10 and Matlab 2019a it works, on my Laptop with the same versions it does not.
