I am using psychtoolbox with brain vision recorder, I want to use trigger using parallel port. How to do it? Is anybody have code for doing this?

i have brainvison recorder and we are using actichamp EEG machine.

Hi,

you can try several things. On windows you may use the io libraries: io32 mex-files

or ParPulse.

On linux try this ppdev mex interface.

You may also tweek matlabs data acquisition toolbox to sub-milisecond EEG triggering. For more information on this have a look at this site: TTL-Triggering Windows

I am also using an actichamp. Note that your control computer would need to have a parallel port. USB-to-parallel port adapters do not seem to work. I'm trying to do this with a linux laptop with only USB ports. Based on the following webpage, I'm going with NEUROSPEC's MMB Trigger Box.
