A search at TMW didn't find anything called imDatastore -- but perhaps Walter's Answer will help https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/285228-problem-with-imagedatastore-function?s_tid=answers_rc1-1_p1_MLT#answer_222947 ???
There seems to be a name clash between a data class introduced in R2015 and a function not introduced until R2016...

In r2015a it does not exist and cannot be used.
In r2015b the object class exists but does not have a public constructor . In that release use datastore() with 'Type','image'
