Display live video in UI axes in app

Hi,

I just want to display a gigecam video in a matlab app in axesim matlab R2018a. For that, I just created this code but when I run it doesn't display the image correctly:

g=gigecam('xxx.xx.xxx.x'); % Create a gigecam object using his IP address

im=image(zeros(size(snapshot(g)),'uint8'),'Parent',app.Display);

preview(g,im);

I don't achieve to display my camera, the uiaxes become blue but don't show any images.

Any idea what's wrong and how to display it correctly?

how about try preview(g). Are you using App Designer?

Yes, I want to display it in axes from an app in app designer. It doesn't work "2preview(g)", I tried it but just appears a new window without any display and dissapears quickly. I don't even achieve to display it in a new window without UIaxes.

But it will be running slower in app designer.

The "getsnapshot(img)" function doesn't work with gigecam cameras, and even using "snapshot(img)" gives me just one frame and displays it in axes.

How about to add a while loop to them, make it continuous to snapshot and display in axes?

You are right! I don't figure out why doesn't work with "for" and works with "while", and the images are quite fluent. Thank you so much!

*Change the "getsnapshot(img)" function to "snapshot(img)" for your gigecam cameras.
