MATLAB deleted all files in the directory, MAC OS X

2 views (last 30 days)
Hi. Last night, I had several important files of code. Then, I used my MAC terminal to download openCV. This morning, when I opened MATLAB, all of my .m files had been erased. When I went to Open Recents, and clicked on the file that was recent, it said that it does not exist. Does anyone know how this could have occurred and whether downloading OpenCV would have had anything to do with it? I am using a Mac OS. Any help would be much appreciated because this code is part of my masters research.

Siddharth - without knowing all the commands that you used to download openCV (from the terminal) or where you stored your code, I don't think that anyone would be able to say whether "downloading openCV deleted these files". As for restoring them, have you checked to see if they've been moved to some other directory on your Mac? Do you routinely back up your code/files or use a source code repository?
