Why the editing privilege is gone?

I can see that the font style and some ither fratures have changed in forum , good to see that . As well the editing status is also gone , the ones above 2000 reputation have lost their editing status.
Edit by John:
As proof this is not true, I see that indeed I can still edit your post. (John)
madhan ravi's reply : Thank you John , I think I am the only one facing this issue then :/

Thank you sir Walter , is it only me who is facing the issue?
This issue effected users with high reputation. We (the Answers dev team) were able to resolve the issue for some users today. As Walter indicated, the fix for everyone will be in a release update this Wednesday evening 11/14.
Thank you David
I have a text file where I have so standard responses that come up regularly. However the new editor seems not to support a copy and paste with the old markup anymore. Is this intended functionality, are there plans to facilitate something similar, or should I change my workflow in this regard?
(or should I open a new topic to discuss the new editor in general?)
Rik, unfortunately the new editor doesn't support MATLAB Markup which is why your snippets don't work as they used to. You can convert your snippets to the Live Editor format (.mlx) which will be more compatible with the new editor. Copying from MATLAB live script files still requires some manual formatting (unfortunately) but copying from MATLAB Online live scripts works best. Hope this helps.

I didn't necessarily mean code snippets, but a comment block like the one below. It doesn't seem to convert to regular links (yet?). (even if this specific example is now outdated)
Today I formatted your code, next time, use the *{}Code* button. See <https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/13205-tutorial-how-to-format-your-question-with-markup#answer_18099 here> for a GIF showing how to do it.
The specific syntax can be found in the editor help page here: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/help/rtc#keyboard_shortcuts
Here's what it says about hyperlinks:
URL+Space or Enter <URL> [Label](URL)
Of course that formatting tutorial answer we've all been referring people is no longer applicable, right? Or will it still be?
No, many aspects of that thread are now inaccurate. Do you think the new editor help page is comprehensive enough to refer people to? Our expectations are that the new help page, in addition to the editor introduction wizard (which everyone sees at least once), would increase the likelihood of properly fomatted content.
Keyboard apps on android seldom have control keys, and doing everything by menu gets tiresome.
Multi hour sessions answering from my phone are common for me .
It is not just a problem of not having control keys, it is that my combination of OS (Android), browser (Chrome) and keyboard (Swiftkey) don't play nice with the new editor. It leaves the already typed letters if I use the autocomplete function. So that gets tiring really quickly.
I know I'm probably asking in vein, but would it be possible to have a way to copy and paste pre-prepared snippets of answers, complete with lists, links, and markup, without having to repeat all formatting each time I paste it?
I really like this new editor as a concept, I'll just need some time to get used to using it myself.
It's certainly possible to support the workflows both you and Walter are describing. We (the dev team) have considered reusable snippets in the past. I think this is the first time I've heard of people using Android and Swiftkey, that's not something we've included in our tests. I'll look into what the MATLAB and MATLAB mobile dev teams have in terms of supported devices etc. to see if they consider your use cases.
@David at what global time will the privileges be fixed ?
Between 6-8pm EST is the target for the release tonight.
Thank you David, hope everything restores back to normal
SwiftSwiftKey is oone of the twtwo majimajor jeybokeyboard appsapps ffor AAndroid , wiwith the oother bebeing SwypSwype . ThThis is a nSwype exaplexample of what happebshappens whwhen you tetry to uuse it wwith the nnew ededitor . II hhave hhad to swswitch to usiusing SaSamsung KKeyboard wwith FFirefox on andAndroid , wwhich is leless than idideal but bbetter than swiftSwiftKey . SwiftKey ffor tthis purpose .
Samsung keyboard duplicates every lone letter such as aa or ii. Also typeif you and click elsewhere before you type aa space then it moves what you just typed to where you clicked . That makes it impossible to edit in the middle of words except by positioning to the end of them and deleting back to the position to be corrected . Selecting is not possible with Samsung keyboard or swiftkey keyboard either , as if they do not recognize the input area as text area. Pasting is not possible with Samsung keyboard in the input area, but is possible with swiftkey but the two do not share buffers so II have to switch to swiftkey before the copy , do the paste , and switch back .
With Samsung keyboard , as soon as the input length is longer than the display area then after each word is typed , the display scrolls to the toolbar but scrolls back as soon as you type aa character .
David I seemed to have lost the star near my name ?
Actually, since you're well past over 5000 rep (congrats!) you should have the MVP status. I'll notify the Answers team through other channels.
Thank you very much Guillaume for everything , keep inspiring as always!
