Hi Joseph,
The OBD Tool is a MATLAB app that will enable you to log OBD data in MATALB. The tool uses ELM327's serial communication commands to fetech data OBD data using ELM327. The app was developed using a USB based ELM327 - OBD adaptor.
As long as the sensor data is made avialble over OBD bus, the tool should be able to display and if required log the data in MATLAB.
Hope this helps.

After working with OBDTool, great job by the way @Jegan Mani, we wanteda bit more from the core scan tool and especially data analysis. After fussing with many OBD2 tools and associated softwre, most based on ELM327 adapters, we found the OCTech Windows software, OBDWiz and TouchScan, has options to output CSV file format. We had been using the Simulink Data Inspector (SDI) to parse CSV data from OBDWiz and can load a dozen different time series data from ECUs, then compare them a few at a time. The ability to zoom in and out, to highlight segments, and identify features for further investigation sets SDI apart from other graphical data replay tools. A sample is attached.

Hi Mark, I need some help using the OBDTool and you seem to have some experience with it. Would it be possible if we connect somehow and I ask you a few questions on how to use it better since I am working on a project that would require the use of the OBDTool. Thank you in advance!
