In Electric Vehicle reference application example of Powertrain Blockset, inside the wheels and brakes subsystem, a factor is used to account for multiple wheels driven by single axle. Why is it 2/NR? (NR: Number of wheels on the axle)

The torque output from differential is half on each axle. When the longitudinal force is calculated the torque on only one axle is considered leading to incorrect calculation of longitudinal force and velocity.

Hi Vinay,
This model is assuming the left and right wheels have identical torque and vertical loads and is driven by a signle differential drive axle to simplify the model wiring and numerical load. For a typical four wheeled passenger car, we would have the torque from one side of the differential multiplied by two (since it is assumed the same for both the left and the right) then dividing the total torque to both wheels by the total number of wheels on the axle (in this case two).
