Genetic Algorithm - Case by Case Optimization

4 views (last 30 days)
Hi All,
I may be asking a stupid question, but is there a way to optimize on a case by case basis without needing to change the input parameters all the time? I shall give you a brief background. I am trying to optimize a trajectory, starting on date A. The variables to be optimized are the time flown, and a trajectory shaping factor, and the function to be minimised is the fuel calculation (fuel burnt). There are bounds on the time flown. I can do it for starting date A (which has an effect on the fuel calculation). I now want to store those optimal values, and move to start date B, optimise for that case, store, move to start date C, etc etc. Is it possible?

You can certainly use ga() within a loop to solve a sequence of problems, if that's what you're asking.

How would I do that? Do I need to pass my code?
