How to show timestamps in a uitable in Matlab GUI?

I tried it with this code.It does not work. T2 = uitable(f2,'Position',[50 200 900 70],'Data', timestamp);

f = figure;
t = uitable(f,'Data',{datestr(now)},'Position',[50 200 900 70]);
