Out of Memory Error Message

1 view (last 30 days)
Dear all ...
I wrote Matlab code, but when I run it on my laptop (windows 10, RAM 20 GB!, System 64 bit, MATLAB version 2017b) an error message appeared to me stated in "Out of memory. Type HELP MEMORY for your options." I try to use matfile (.mat) to overcome this error, but unfortunately, the error message related to memory still appeared to me. So, please how can I overcome this error?
Regards,

Two things I can think of.
1. Alter your Java heap size
To adjust the Java heap size:
On the Home tab, in the Environment section, click Preferences. Select MATLAB > General > Java Heap Memory. Select a Java heap size value using the slider or spin box.
2.Depends on the code, are you generating a lot of figures? I have memory issues when I do that, it helps to save them and then close them. You still have them then to add to a report but don't need them in memory.
