How to fix a sinusoidal generator at a particular point in a co-ordinate system?

1 view (last 30 days)
I'm right now working on writing an algorithm for adaptive beamforming for UCA system. To test my code, I need to first find the direction of arrival(for which I've decided to use the concept of cross correlation between sensor outputs), so for that I need to fix the sources (sin signal generators) at specified angles in a polar co-ordinate system(elevation, azimuth)(these angles will be known only to me, but the array system doesn'know, In reality, even I wont know the angles of the sources as the sources can move anywhere very randomly)! Then i'll make use of the above mentioned DOA algo to find these angles that i specified, and then do the beamforming.
so can anyone help me out ,by saying how to use the polar co-ordinate system and fix two sources at two points and array at the origin. kindly help me out by suggesting good answers along with some helpful links (if any).. will simulink prove to be beneficial? Thank you so much in advance for taking time to read and answering my question .
