Hello,
I am trying to read CAD models in .3ds format into MATLAB.
I found this function in the MATLAB Central File Exchange: Model3d by Steven Michael (published 28 Jun 2005, updated 19 Sep 2005).
Unfortunately, this function does not work well on many .3ds files (for example downloaded from www.turbosquid.com). Although viewing those files in a 3DS viewer gave good results, after using Model3d function to import the models into MATLAB, many parts were missing and few parts were translated to a wrong position.
Does anyone have new, updated function/dll that can correctly import CAD models in .3ds files into MATLAB?
Thanks.
Kind regards, Michael.
