Hi everyone,
We're trying run our script on a cluster, that is running on CentOS 7.4, Torque with cgroups support, using parfor. But we run into an error while creating the parallel pool with parpool/parcluster.
c = parcluster();
chanExtractPool = parpool(c, 20);
This however produces the following error:
Error using parcluster (line 56)
Invalid default value for property 'ProcessInformation' in class
'parallel.cluster.Local':
The following error occurred while retrieving the name of process 31136:
Couldn't find process 31136
Any ideas on how to fix this?

What cluster profile are you using, a built-in Torque cluster profile?
Also, what the return values of the following?
c = parcluster()

I have the same issue. Here's what I get when I run that command:
>> c = parcluster()
Error using parcluster (line 61)
Invalid default value for property 'ProcessInformation' in class 'parallel.cluster.Local':
The following error occurred while retrieving the name of process 198461:

I would suggest to reach out to the MathWorks Technical Support team to troubleshoot this. You can reach them by phone or e-mail: https://www.mathworks.com/support/contact_us.html.
